National Participation - Tanzania (United Republic of) // New Participation

The National Pavilion of the United Republic of Tanzania presents four artists who well represent richness of the country's artistic expression in dialogic relationship with a European artist. A Flight in Reverse Mirrors (The Discovery of Others) explores the complex interaction between humans and nature, focusing on the evolution of the concept of the "Other" embodied in the archetype of the trickster, a mythological figure who acts as a mediator between the divine and the human. Throughout history, the perception of nature and "others" has often generated prejudice and distrust, fueled by ignorance. The exhibition project aims to highlight that it is important to overcome such preconceptions in order to facilitate constructive dialogue.
