Artists
Anne Truitt
Press release
The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen is pleased to present the first comprehensive exhibition of the American artist and writer Anne Truitt (1921–2004) in Europe. With more than 100 stunning works spanning over four decades, the exhibition sheds light on the work of one of the most influential women artists of Minimalism. The art movement made famous by Donald Judd, Robert Morris, and Imi Knoebel is characterized by the use of simple forms, vivid colors, and a search for clarity and essence. The exhibition of Truitt's work invites viewers to delve into the emotional interplay of color, form, and space.
The exhibition is organized by the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Düsseldorf, Musée de Grenoble, and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid.
