We are thrilled to present Aneta Grzeszykowska's latest photographic series, “Daughter”. In this body of work, the artist continues her radical, existential exploration of identity, the image of the female body, and familial relationships. In the photographs, Grzeszykowska appears wearing a mask depicting her own face at the age of fourteen. This device disrupts the idyllic, painterly character of the scenes, introducing a shiver of ontological unease. “Daughter” is also a subversive continuation of Grzeszykowska's renowned series “Mama”, boldly challenging and transgressing visual and cultural clichés surrounding motherhood.
