Apollinaria Broche (b. 1995, Moscow, Russia), lives and works in Paris and in Pietrasanta. A graduate of Les Beaux-Arts de Paris, her sculptural practice explores themes of escape and duality, balancing strength and fragility. Drawing inspiration from art history, Broche crafts strange, whimsical landscapes populated by fantastical flowers and shape-shifting mythical beings. She has exhibited at Marianne Boesky Gallery, Hussenot Gallery, Collection Lambert and Zhi Art Museum, and has collaborated with Acne Studios among others.
