How do we relate to our counterparts? And what lies in between? In various pairs of pictures in A3 to A6 format, motifs can be recognised in a clear formal language, 
 that suggest opposites; shadow and light, day and night, object and subject, word and image. 

Claudio Näf's work picks up on the play with dualities in his drawings and explores how different elements relate to each other in various combinations. A tension is created between a system of order that harbours contradictions - a clear division of left and right, black and white, image and text raises the question of what exactly lies in between and is lost in the separation.
