Press release

Opening: Saturday, 7 November 2026, 4-6pm The artist is present. Introduction by Prof. (em.) Dr. Herbert Burkert at 4:30 pm. Zander Galerie is delighted to announce the exhibition Between by Candida Höfer, one of Germany’s foremost contemporary artists and a leading figure of the Düsseldorf School of Photography. Bringing together colour photographs from 1983 to 2021 that focus on spatial situations of transition, the exhibition has been conceived specially for the gallery’s spaces in Cologne. Attentive to the inner structures they portray, the works sharpen the viewer’s perception of space and, in turn, heighten awareness of the interior surroundings in which they are shown. We invite you to discover the upcoming exhibition, opening on 7 November!
