Charles Laib Bitton
Press release
Charles Laib Bitton’s paintings seek to create a quiet, emotional dialogue between the viewer and the canvas. Rather than relying on cerebral analysis, his work invites a more personal, felt connection with the image. His paintings capture the quiet and changing moods of the everyday, focusing on the simple, honest feelings that make us human. Bitton studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (2018–2022) and the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna (2016–2018). He has completed residencies at the Van Gogh Huis Museum in Zundert (2019) and the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley (2017). His solo exhibitions include “Fringe” at Basho’s Promise, Florence (2024), and “The Silver Medallion” at Super Super Markt, Berlin (2023).
