In his exhibition Mother Tongue, Christian Andersson turns the timely question "Can images be trusted?" toward sculpture. The three new works offer visitors no easy answers. Instead, they provoke further questions: What was, what is, and what will be? Any sense of clarity emerges only through closer examination of the sculptures' materiality. Drawing on a profound understanding of materials, Andersson (b. 1973 in Stockholm) transforms the physical world itself into a source of uncertainty that ultimately results in curiosity.
