The hare ran, the cabin is on fire, but the apocalypse has yet to come. In the new collection of paintings by artist BORIS SACCONE (born 1991), the guiding principle of hope run through the exhibition. JO VAN DE LOO presents ten new paintings and one object, where familiar techniques and beloved traces blend with Saccone‘s newest explorations. These simultaneous reminiscences and distinctions clearly reveal the dynamic developments that characterize Saccone‘s creative process. We encounter homages to old masters, playful interactions with figures and forms, and mythical and religious narratives.
