The GK3 SPACE at Kochstrasse 3 in Zurich opened in 2022. Originally a simple garage, it was taken over by Stephan Kauflin and Maya Griesser and renovated with minimal resources. The space was characterised by its high ceiling and appeared bright and open with plenty of natural light. The open lines, suspended structures and protective coatings lend a slightly industrial atmosphere - a good contrast to classic white cubes. 

Since its foundation, GK3 has been a place for up-and-coming artists as well as established artists looking for space to experiment. A platform for groups and art performers, for exhibitions and interventions. For the last year, Stephan Kauflin took over sole responsibility for GK3, from organisation and bookings to individual curated events.
