Press release

The publication Simian 2020-2025 documents the first five years of the artist-run institution Simian in Copenhagen. Edited by Paola Paleari and designed by Andreas Peitersen, the volume is thought as a comprehensive archive of the activities and ideas that have shaped Simian as a space for art production and mediation. Simian celebrates the release of the publication with a three-week open house, bringing together performances, artist films, and works from the exhibition space’s history. Marking a moment of reflection on Simian’s activities and the artistic collaborations that have shaped the institution, the publication Simian 2020-2025 revisits the comprehensive exhibition history while looking towards the future. Extending the publication into the physical space, the open house brings together traces of Simian’s programme, alongside new artistic interventions. Performances: Rasmus Røhling TEHRAN, Mija Milovic, and Cæcilie Trier
