"Weaving the Present" brings together the two vibrant art scenes of Vienna and Shanghai, initiating a cross-continental artistic dialogue between young Austrian and Chinese artists. Together, they explore the intersection of craftsmanship and technology in the post-digital world, examining how digitization and globalization as well as the rediscovery of traditional materials, techniques, and myths shapes our understanding of cultural identity.

The exhibition is part of the official program marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Austria and China.
