Press release

From 17 October to 1 November 2026, Palazzo Reale hosts "Youth and Future", an exhibition dedicated to the international project conceived by Giovanni Caccamo. The project stems from an open call addressed to young people around the world, inviting them to share words and visions of change in response to the major crises of our time, with the aim of making new generations active protagonists - rather than mere spectators - in shaping the future. Thousands of collected texts were gathered in the volume Manifesto del Cambiamento and inspired the works on display - on loan from the Ifis art collection of Banca Ifis - created by leading contemporary artists Francesca Cataldi, Maurizio Cattelan, Mario Ceroli, Emilio Isgrò, Mimmo Jodice, Giulia Napoleone, Mimmo Paladino, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Fabrizio Plessi, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Ferdinando Scianna and Guido Strazza. These were joint, in a second phase of the project and thanks to the collaboration with Associazione Arte Continua, by other major international masters: Adel Abdessemed, Leandro Erlich, Antony Gormley, Eva Jospin, Anish Kapoor, Ahmed Mater, Moataz Nasr, Giuseppe Penone, Tobias Rehberger, Julian Schnabel and Kiki Smith. The sale of works by these latter artists will support reforestation initiatives carried out within the project Boschi del Cambiamento – Arte x la Riforestazione. The exhibition also includes Marco Anelli's photographic reportage documenting the performance held in the Stanza della Segnatura at the Vatican Museums; three new works by Mimmo Paladino, Emilio Isgrò and Michelangelo Pistoletto; a photographic reportage by Jamie Hawkesworth and a video installation by Academy Award-winning director Luc Jacquet, in collaboration with MASI Film. An exhibition promoted by the City of Milan – Culture and produced by Palazzo Reale and Youth and Future – Parola ai Giovani APS, in collaboration with Associazione Arte Continua and Fondazione Sylva.
