La Felce is Italian for fern and is the name of our ceiling lamp. When it came to finding a name for the space, it was immediately clear that the art space should also be called La Felce. Timo Schmidt started the programme in 2018 and Amelie Gappa has been part of La Felce since 2023.

La Felce shows contemporary art with a focus on the medium of the exhibition as an essential part of artistic and curatorial practice. The focus is on the representation of interdisciplinary approaches and strategies. In 2024, Amelie Gappa and Timo Schmidt will present a total of five exhibitions, which are created in close collaboration with the artists.

Advantage Book shows selected book presentations. Publishers, artists or classes from art academies present artists' books, catalogues and zines. Here, too, the focus is on the medium of the exhibition: How is book content presented ‘on the wall’? How is the atmosphere from an artist's book transported into the room? The Advantage Book format has a shorter duration than the exhibitions conceived by Amelie and Timo.
