In ancient Greece, love as a principle was conceptualised with the terms agape, philia and eros in a universal meaning towards a general togetherness in the world. This stands in contrast to a world of separation and division, exclusion and repression. Here, co-operation and synergy take precedence over competition and distinction. A very general human affection between individuals or towards the "world" as a whole. The belief in a commonality, a togetherness corresponds to a broad concept of love.
