›Die Möglichkeit einer Insel‹ is a project space in a gutted prefabricated building in Mitte, which has been run by Stephanie Kloss as artistic director since 2019 and is currently funded by the Senate for Culture and Social Cohesion. The first exhibition ›Garage‹ took place there during Berlin Art Week 2019, five years ago. To celebrate this anniversary, Stephanie Kloss curates the jubilee exhibition ›Model and Reality‹ based on the successful group exhibition ›Metamodell‹ from 2021. Works by artists who have exhibited there before as well as new positions will be shown under the thematic aspect of the architectural and social model-like nature of an utopian idea and its abstract implementation in reality. The GDR prefabricated building- Plattenbau- also plays a role as location. Especially for this show, Peter K Koch and Kloss are designing an architectural model-like display for the works, which will consist of raw building materials.
