Distinguished by his everyday still lifes, landscapes, and portraits, Canadian artist Nicholas Bierk presents more than 10 new oil paintings in this solo exhibition at Gladstone’s Brussels space. Drawing inspiration from personal photographs, the works capture moments from the artist’s life that hold symbolic meaning and reflect universal themes he’s been exploring in the last few years, including death, grief, and transformation, among others.
