We are pleased to present Patrick Ostrowsky's third comprehensive solo exhibition at the gallery. In "un-hold," the artist explores in depth the relationship between the body, space, and the structures that hold them together. Ostrowsky gives form to memories and creates spaces that preserve the physical remnants of the absent in the present. Continuing his ongoing exploration of the surface as memory, Ostrowsky examines the body's contact with a place through marbling and frottage in a new series of works on paper. The blurred boundaries between framed and unframed, between exhibition and sculpture, between provisional and permanent— open approaches to Ostrowsky's works that suggest a desire for connection and belonging.
