To be, or not to be, a new project by Philip Ewe brings together a live performance and photographic works exploring speech, spectatorship and public address. Taking Shakespeare’s famous soliloquy as its starting point, Ewe considers the relationship between private thought and public performance, and how contemporary speech is increasingly shaped by surveillance, visibility and economies of attention. Performance dates are to be announced soon.
