Ndidi Dike
Press release
In 'Rare Earth Rare Justice', her first major exhibition in an Austrian institution, Ndidi Dike addresses the ongoing exploitation of Africa's natural resources, particularly cobalt mining in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Her research traces the connections between extractive industries, ecological destruction, climate change, and the resource-driven conflicts that lead to displacements and humanitarian disasters. The exhibition is developed in collaboration with Färgfabriken konsthall in Stockholm, where a second part will be presented from August 29 to November 22, 2026. In conjunction with the exhibition, the artist will create a new sculptural commission.
