Cornelia Parker (born 1956 in Cheshire, lives in London) views destruction and physical forces as central to sculptural practice. In her sculptures and installations, she combines deconstruction with transformation, subjecting everyday objects to processes that alter their form and create new meanings. For the monumental Kesselhaus, she creates an immersive, site-specific piece – a phenomenal fictional event with immediate physical presence.
