Surrealism
Press release
Recounting more than forty years of exceptional creative effervescence, from 1924 to 1969, the "Surrealism" exhibition celebrates the anniversary of the movement born in 1924 with the publication of André Breton's founding Manifesto.
The exhibition is both chronological and thematic, with 14 chapters evoking the literary figures who inspired the movement (Lautréamont, Lewis Carroll, Sade...) and the poetic principles that structured its imagination (the artist-medium, the dream, the philosopher's stone, the forest...).
