Lo Brutto Stahl is pleased to announce The Idea of a City, the first-ever solo exhibition by New York based artist and art dealer Shelby Jackson. The show features a selection of paintings, objects, and works on paper created over the past five years.

The exhibition opens on Monday, October 20 (6–9 pm) in Paris and runs through November 22, 2025.

Shelby Jackson (b. 1990, Chicago, IL) lives and works in NY. He is the founder and director of 15 Orient, a contemporary art gallery located in lower Manhattan. Jackson’s work as an artist has been featured in group exhibitions including: The 13th Floor, 2024, at Gratin Gallery (New York, NY), Gennariello (Part II), 2020, at Galerie Balice Hertling (Paris, FR), and Le Pays du Soleil, 2020, at Futura (Prague, CZ).

Kindly note that the gallery will extend its opening hours during Art Basel Paris, from Tuesday to Sunday, 11am–7pm.
