Hans Hollein
Press release
This monographic exhibition is devoted to the Austrian architect Hans Hollein (1934-2014), most commonly affiliated with the postmodernist movement since his participation in the 1st Venice Architecture Biennale in 1980, and his proposal for a colonnaded façade for the Strada Novissima project. This collection of the most emblematic works from his oeuvre, which spans more than fifty years, allows us to reassess the coherence of his artistic and critical approach in the light of his involvement in the various currents that shaped the post-avant-gardes from the 1960s to the 1980s: from informal art to conceptual art, via radical architecture.
