Galerie Volker Diehl, Berlin presents an exhibition that was created on two occasions - the publication of the book “Ulitskaya. Krasulin. Fragments of a Whole” and the 90th birthday of the artist Andrei Krasulin. Birthday of the artist Andrei Krasulin. This exhibition opens up new facets of the creative union, whose partners are individually widely known, such as the famous writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya and the distinctive artist Andrei Krasulin. The exhibition traces the long-standing mutual influences and mutual inspirations of this creative couple. Lyudmila Ulitskaya appears as a text artist and artistic co-author; in addition, her poems, which were written under the influence of Andrei Krasulin's art and personality, are published for the first time in the exhibition (as manuscripts) and in the book.

Both authors moved to Berlin after the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. In a new book and exhibition, they share their experiences of loss, love, illness, beauty, trust and many other experiences of being together. The exhibition includes works from 1980 to 2024, including works on paper, paintings, objects and sculptures.
