Kickoff for the New Art Fair in Vienna From September 10 to 13, 2026, the new Astoria Artshow will open its doors at the historic Astoria Garage in Vienna’s 8th district. The initiator and organizer of this new fair format is the association VAU—Vienna Art United, a coalition of 35 leading Viennese galleries whose goal is to jointly establish a contemporary art fair with international appeal. This year’s exhibition format serves as the launch and preview edition for a new Viennese art fair starting in 2027. The Astoria Artshow will bring together around 70 Austrian and international galleries and showcase both established and emerging artists. The venue is the Astoria Garage in Vienna, an impressive architectural gem dating from 1923, which is being used for the first time as a venue for a major art event.
