David Zwirner is pleased to announce When Found becomes Given, an exhibition of paintings by British artist Rose Wylie (b. 1934) at the gallery’s location in London. This presentation will include new and recent canvases and multipanel works that feature Wylie’s bold, uniquely recognizable compositions, which reveal witty observations and subtly sophisticated meditations on the nature of visual representation itself. The exhibition will follow Wylie’s first solo show in Los Angeles, CLOSE, not too close, which took place in fall 2023 at David Zwirner, and precedes her solo exhibition Flick and Float at Zentrum Paul Klee, Bern, Switzerland, opening July 19. This will be the artist’s seventh solo exhibition with the gallery.
