For many years, the figure of Yasmine d’O. has inspired Saâdane Afif to produce several artworks, and the articulation of various projects, Bergen Assembly being the most recent and largest-scale and the presentation of the performance “La leçon de Géométrie” at the Biennale of Marrakech in 2014 being the first project. Many of these productions have been conceived and/or realized in collaboration with other artists and collaborators. The latest, a collaboration with Saskia Diez, presents jewelry inspired by the geometric universe Performance of 2014. Thus the exhibition “L’univers, by or of Yasmine d’O.” is a sort of attic, where the various milestones of Yasmine d’O’s history, through artworks, documentation, jewellery etc. come together in one place and time.
